Set out on a hike with guide Dany Schitter. You’ll discover the history of the Jesuits, their arrival in Molsheim, and their pastoral work.
This 7-km hike will take place along a pleasant path, lined with six “Fussfall” or “Kniefall” sites.
A stop is planned at the Dompeter Chapel, Molsheim’s first parish church, consecrated by the Alsatian Pope Leo IX in 1049/1050.
After setting out at 10:00 a.m., we are scheduled to arrive at the Maria Altbronn Church around 1:00 p.m. for a packed lunch.
The return route will go via the Horn and its Sacré Cœur to enjoy the beautiful panoramic view, with a stop at the 15th-century St. Denis Chapel in Wolxheim.
Finally, in Avolsheim, we’ll explore the ancient baptistery, known as St. Ulrich’s Chapel, built around the year 1000.
Expected return around 5:00 p.m. – 180 m elevation gain
Sturdy high-top shoes recommended
High-visibility safety vest – appropriate clothing
